Founded in 1905, C.H. Robinson Worldwide, Inc., a Fortune 500 company, is a two dimensional company headquartered in Mpls., MN with 5,700 employees in 196 branches worldwide. CHRW is the largest provider of third party transportation logistics services in North America. The company is one of the few US based third-party logistics providers with the capability to arrange and manage transportation using all modes, on a worldwide basis. What We Do

Transportation logistics. Fresh produce sourcing.

They're C.H. Robinson's bread and butter.

And there's plenty of it to go around - we're one of the largest companies of our kind in North America, and are steadily building a presence all over the world.

The main thing we do is called third-party logistics. That makes us a "3PL".

3PLs help their customers get products where they need to go. But unlike a traditional transportation company, a 3PL doesn't own any of the vehicles moving the products. That leaves them free to use the most cost-effective mode of transportation, without trying to make sure their own equipment is being used.

Another large part of our business is produce procurement.

We've been connecting growers and shippers of fresh produce with retailers, wholesalers, and foodservice operators for almost a century. In addition to sourcing, we offer other services for our produce customers. For example, based on past sales we can help them determine the best price for selling their produce, or when they should put an item on ad. We're also the only company with a license to sell fresh fruits and vegetables under brand names like Mott's and Welch's.

Who We Work For

Our company is going to generate about $3 billion in sales this year. That means even if you haven't heard of us, many other people have.

Some of our 15,000 customers are people we're sure you're familiar with.

One of the world's largest snack foods distributors comes to us for help in finding the most efficient, cost-effective way to get the potatoes they need to the place where they're turned into chips.

And one of the largest retailers on earth turns to us because we're the only company that can sell fresh produce packed in brands like Mott's and Welch's.

Like everyone who does business with Robinson, these two take advantage of our technology, which is used to track products, make purchases, or analyze sales.

What We Value

We value the fact that no two team members are alike. Our diverse skill base makes us strong, keeping us ahead of the game.

Diversity no longer just means ethnic and gender differences. Age, life experiences, and innovative thinking are all a part of the Robinson diversity mix.

Diversity. Inclusion. Valuing Differences…whatever we call it, the title is far less important than what it represents-our competitive edge.

C.H. Robinson is an equal opportunity employer committed to recruiting and retaining a workforce that mirrors our current and future marketplace.

We are dedicated to this mission and will continue to develop and promote awareness and skill sets to capitalize on different talents, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of our employees, customers, and carriers.

Growing And Changing

The market for logistics is massive - something like $800 billion in the U.S. alone - and analysts say companies like ours have only tapped into about 15% of it.

As corporations evaluate how they want to manage their transportation costs, they'll turn to people like us. This means our piece of the pie will rise in the future, and our number of employees will grow with it.

No matter how much our industry grows, one thing will always stay the same - we'll continue to be a dominant supplier of transportation services in North America, and a strong force all around the world.

As the global marketplace changes, our customer base will continue to become more diverse. We're constantly revitalized with new employees from all backgrounds, and working with a customer base that is just as diverse. In the future, we'll continue to search for more of these creative, unique individuals.
